Owyhee is a perfect 6-0 against Mountain View since March of 2022 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Wednesday. The Storm will challenge the Mavericks at 5:00 p.m. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Owyhee comes in on 16 and Mountain View on three.
While Owyhee's victory against Rocky Mountain wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Storm narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past the Grizzlies 3-1.

Hailey Bock spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned run on four hits and racked up ten Ks. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't tossed less than nine strikeouts in three consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, Owyhee saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was McKenna Schab, who scored a run while going 1-for-3.
Mountain View not only won on Thursday, but they posted their biggest win since March 13th. They were the clear victors by an 11-1 margin over Borah.
Mountain View also got a great performance from Katy Jackson as she struck out nine batters over five innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits.
At the plate, the team relied heavily on Afton Janke, who scored four runs and stole two bases while going 4-for-4. That's the most hits she has posted since back in April of 2024. Another player making a difference was Tayelynn Puyleart, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run, three RBI, and one double.
Mountain View lost a few balls and finished the game with two home runs. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now launched at least two home runs in three consecutive contests.
Mountain View pushed their record up to 7-4 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home. The home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.5 runs over those games. As for Owyhee, their record now sits at 16-0.
Wednesday's matchup will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Owyhee hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .378. However, it's not like Mountain View struggles in that department as they've averaged .339. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Owyhee skirted past Mountain View 8-7 when the teams last played back in March. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Storm since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
