The Santa Fe Indians entered their tilt with the Clear Lake Falcons with three consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with four. Santa Fe sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 54-52 victory over Clear Lake on Friday. This was payback for Santa Fe, who suffered a 59-53 loss the last time these two teams met.
It was another big night for Hannah Doerre, who dropped a double-double on 28 points and 13 rebounds. That makes it two consecutive games in which she has scored at least 25% of Santa Fe's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Gracie Rambin, who scored 14 points.
Santa Fe's victory bumped their record up to 12-6. As for Clear Lake, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost eight of their last nine contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-12 record this season.
Santa Fe will be playing at home against Manvel at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Manvel has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. As for Clear Lake, they will head out on the road to face off against Clear Creek at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
