Pacifica hasn't had much luck against Ventura recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Tritons will be playing in front of their home fans against the Cougars at 3:30 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Having struggled with seven defeats in a row, Pacifica turned things around against Nordhoff last Tuesday. They put the hurt on the Rangers with a sharp 14-1 win. The Tritons not only won last Tuesday, but they posted their biggest win since March 4th (when they won 21-2).

Milli Valdes and Denise Gutierrez did most of the damage at the plate: Valdes went a perfect 4-for-4 with two runs, two RBI, and one double, while Gutierrez went 2-for-4 with four RBI and two doubles. Those four RBI gave Gutierrez a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Giada Santos, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with two RBI, one run, and one double.
Pacifica always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .562. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their OBP total in three consecutive games.
Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Ventura, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Thursday. They never let Foothill Tech get on the board and left with a 6-0 victory on Friday.
Jessie Sebek made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out eight over seven innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in four consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with one run and one RBI.
In other batting news, Brooklynn Bishop was incredible, firing off two home runs while going 2-for-3. Those home runs marked the first that she has launched this season. Zen Guelcher was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one triple, one double, and one RBI.
Ventura now has a winning record of 9-8. As for Pacifica, their win bumped their record up to 5-10.
Pacifica came up short against Ventura in their previous matchup back in April of 2025, falling 17-12. Can the Tritons avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
