Volleyball Recap: Nebraska Lutheran's Losing Streak Snapped at Nine Games

Nebraska Lutheran had to endure a nine-match losing streak, but that streak is no more. They walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Omaha Christian Guardians on Saturday. The Knights have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Guardians, too.

Nebraska Lutheran easily took the second set, but they let things get interesting in the other. The match finished with set scores of 25-20, 25-8.

Samantha Hueske paced Nebraska Lutheran's offense, picking up nine kills. Hueske got some help from Autumn Malchow and her 12 assists. Kaiah Colson and Elaina Endorf kept things locked in from the service line: the pair finished with two aces apiece.

Nebraska Lutheran's win bumped their record up to 4-13. As for Omaha Christian, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-9.

Nebraska Lutheran has already played their next matchup, a 2-1 defeat against Elm Creek on the 27th. As for Omaha Christian, they will square off against College View Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
