The Wasco Tigers's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their seventh straight loss. They fell 57-49 to Delano. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Wasco of the 64-54 loss they experienced in the two teams' previous head-to-head fixture back in February of 2023.
It was another big night for Ibrahim Shuwait, who dropped a double-double on 24 points and 12 rebounds for Delano. Shuwait hasn't dropped below eight rebounds for 11 straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Jotham Amodo, who scored 12 points along with three steals.
Wasco has not been sharp recently, as they've lost eight of their last nine games, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-13 record this season. As for Delano, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 14-6.
Wasco will head out on the road to challenge Taft at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Taft has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 543 points over their last eight games. As for Delano, they will be playing at home against McFarland at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. McFarland is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last five games.
