Blazer extended their winning streak to eight on Wednesday, bumping their season record up to 18-14 in the process. They were the clear victors by a 12-6 margin over the East Carter Raiders. Considering the Tomcats have won 11 matches by more than five runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

As for East Carter, the loss snapped their winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 29-7 record. The pitching woes were uncharacteristic for they, who until this contest were averaging 3.19 runs allowed.

For East Carter's part, Brynlee Walker and Haleigh Hall did some serious damage despite the final result: Walker got on base in three of her four plate appearances with one stolen base, one run, and one double, while Hall went 2-for-3 with two RBI and one double. Another player making a difference was Shelby Felty, who went 3-for-4 with two RBI and one double.

Blazer wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 5-4 defeat against Rowan County on the 31st. East Carter does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
