Volleyball Recap: Saturday's Loss Ends Mt. Pleasant's Winning Streak

It was a good run, but Mt. Pleasant unfortunately witnessed the end of their 13-match winning streak on Saturday. They fell just short of the Roscommon Bucks by a score of 2-1. While the Oilers didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Bucks 25-19 in the first set.

Mt. Pleasant started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last two. The match finished with set scores of 19-25, 25-16, 15-13.

Morgan Borodychuk paced Mt. Pleasant's offense, picking up ten kills. Borodychuk got some help from Abigail Webster and her 19 assists. Finally, Alexis Borodychuk kept Mt. Pleasant's defense grounded, leading the team with two blocks.

Mt. Pleasant's loss dropped their record down to 21-4-1. As for Roscommon, the win (which was their 15th in a row) raised their record to 30-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Mt. Pleasant will take on Midland at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Roscommon, they will welcome Mancelona at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
