Basketball Recap: Lindsay Takes a Loss

Lindsay was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They were beaten by the Taft Wildcats 91-48. One positive for the Cardinals, at least, is that this was the most points they've scored all season.

Taft's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Ernie Laulu, who dropped a double-double on 29 points and ten boards. Laulu's evening made it 14 games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Josh Cundiff, who went 10 of 14 on his way to 23 points and seven rebounds.

Lindsay's loss dropped their record down to 1-12. As for Taft, they now have a winning record of 7-6.

Lindsay wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 68-44 defeat against Valley Christian Academy on the 28th. As for Taft, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 79-71 loss against Lompoc on the 28th.
