That result was just more of the same for these two, as Santa Rosa Christian also won the last time the pair played last Thursday.
Despite the defeat, Gulf Pointe Latin saw an underclassman step up: Dean Fillmore dropped a double-double on 16 points and 13 rebounds. Another player making a difference was John DeFore, who scored 12 points.
Santa Rosa Christian's victory ended a eight-game drought at home and bumped them up to 2-15. As for Gulf Pointe Latin, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost six of their last seven matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-13 record this season.

Calvary Christian Academy is coming into the matchup with five straight wins at home, meaning Gulf Pointe Latin will have to defend against a squad hungry for a win.
