Basketball Recap: Woodstock's Win on Monday Extends Winning Streak to Four

Marietta came into Monday's game looking for another win against Woodstock, but Jahmar Maurice wouldn't allow it. The Wolverines took down the Blue Devils 62-48 on Monday with plenty of help from Maurice, who went 10-for-17 to rack up 31 points and six steals. The contest was his fourth in a row with at least 27 points.

Jalen Graham was another key player, putting up nine points and three steals. Graham is crushing it when it comes to steals: he's grabbed at least two every time he's taken the court this season.

The victory keeps Woodstock at an undefeated 4-0. Those wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they've averaged 73.5 points this season. As for Marietta, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 2-1.

Looking ahead, Woodstock and Roswell will face off at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday without much rest, having both just played. The Wolverines will be up against the Hornets' rather soft defense (which has allowed 53 points per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Marietta, they will face off against Wheeler at 7:30 p.m. on December 2. This will be the Blue Devils' first chance to prove their worth in the conference.
