The Birch Run Panthers will wrap up 2023 with a road trip to face off against the New Lothrop Hornets at 11:30 a.m. on Thursday. Both teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with four consecutive losses for Birch Run and five for New Lothrop.
Last Tuesday, Birch Run lost to Hemlock at home by a decisive 57-42 margin.
Meanwhile, New Lothrop ended up a good deal behind Durand on Tuesday and lost 51-34. New Lothrop has not had much luck with Durand recently, as the team's come up short the last four times they've met.
Birch Run's loss dropped their record down to 2-4. As for New Lothrop, their loss was their third straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 1-5.
Birch Run suffered a grim 60-40 defeat to New Lothrop when the teams last played back in February of 2022. Can Birch Run avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
