Fort Wayne Northrop took a loss when they played away from home on Friday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Tuesday. They skirted past Carroll 3-2. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Bruins as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.

Kendall Huth spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned runs on five hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than one walk in five consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Makenzie Key was excellent, going 1-for-3 with one home run and two RBI. That home run marked the first that she has launched this season.

Fort Wayne Northrop hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. The team has now struck out at least five batters in eight consecutive games dating back to last season.

Meanwhile, Fort Wayne South Side was not able to break out of their rough patch two weeks ago as the team picked up their seventh straight loss dating back to last season. They came up short against West Noble, falling 15-1.

Fort Wayne South Side saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Delayna Cartwright, who went 1-for-2 with one run.

Fort Wayne Northrop's victory bumped their record up to 2-4. As for Fort Wayne South Side, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-1.

Fort Wayne Northrop took their win against Fort Wayne South Side when the teams last played back in April of 2024 by a conclusive 18-0 score. Do the Bruins have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Archers turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
