The Valley Vista Monsoon can now show off nine landslide victories after their most recent game on Tuesday. They took their game at home with ease, bagging a 86-23 win over Tolleson. The victory was nothing new for Valley Vista as they're now sitting on six straight.
Valley Vista's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Jocelyn Chavez, who scored 30 points along with five rebounds and two steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Chavez has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Emma Dasovich, who scored 24 points along with eight rebounds and three blocks.
Valley Vista's victory was their 13th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 13-4. They've been dominating during the games in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 46.8 points. As for Tolleson, they have not been sharp recently as the team's lost four of their last five matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-9 record this season.
Valley Vista will head out on the road to square off against the Stallions at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Shadow Ridge will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Arizona Rankings (they are ranked 94th, while the Monsoon are ranked 16th). As for Tolleson, they will look to defend their home court on Thursday against the Champions at 7:00 p.m.
