The Friendship Christian Falcons lost against the Durham Flight HomeSchool Flight back in February of 2015, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. Friendship Christian fell just short of Durham Flight HomeSchool by a score of 29-26.
Despite the loss, Friendship Christian had strong showings from Claire Perry, who scored 12 points, and Skylar Beaumont, who scored 11 points.
Friendship Christian's loss was their fourth straight at home, which bumped their record down to 3-7. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 13.5 points per game. As for Durham Flight HomeSchool, the victory got them back to even at 1-1.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Friendship Christian will challenge Wayne Christian at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Wayne Christian presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Friendship Christian in North Carolina (Wayne Christian is ranked 52nd, while Friendship Christian is ranked 457th). As for Durham Flight HomeSchool, they will head out on the road to face off against Forsyth Home Educators at 6:15 p.m. on Monday.
