Basketball Recap: Kemp Takes Loss Despite Strong Efforts from Toni Hawkins and Allie Pringle

Kemp was the 67-14 winner over Blooming Grove when they last played one another last Thursday, but their luck changed this time around. The Kemp Yellowjackets received a blow on Friday as they fell 49-34 to the Blooming Grove Lions.

Allie Pringle and Toni Hawkins certainly did their best on Friday to avoid the loss. Pringle posted 14 points in addition to six rebounds and four steals, while Hawkins put up ten points and eight rebounds. Pringle is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed three or more in the last three games she's played.

Kemp now has a losing record at 6-7. As for Blooming Grove, the victory got them back to even at 5-5.

Kemp wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 45-39 loss against Kerens on the 6th. As for Blooming Grove, they will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Rice at 6:15 p.m. on December 17th.
