After both having extra time off, the Timpanogos Timberwolves and the Uintah Utes will shake off the rust and duke it out at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Timpanogos will be looking to extend their current ten-game winning streak.
Timpanogos had to skate by with only a one-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the 11-run drubbing they dealt Mountain View last Thursday. The Timberwolves blew past the Bruins 20-9. The Timberwolves might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight matchups by ten runs or more this season.

Timpanogos got a massive performance out of Kale'a Nakayama, who got on base in five of her six plate appearances with one home run, five RBI, and two runs. The dominant performance also gave Nakayama a new career-high in hits (three). Another player making a difference was Kaleah Sao, who scored four runs while going 3-for-3.
Timpanogos kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 20 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in ten consecutive contests.
Meanwhile, Uintah was able to grind out a solid victory over Springville last Friday, taking the game 8-5.
Lynlee Hall made a splash no matter where she played. On the mound, she tossed seven innings while giving up four earned (and one unearned) runs off ten hits. Hall was also big at the plate, getting on base in four of her five plate appearances with one double.
In other batting news, Kynlee Bristol was excellent, going 2-for-4 with two stolen bases and two RBI. Kayla Olson was another key player, scoring two runs while going 2-for-4.
Uintah is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six games. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-4 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.8 runs over those games. As for Timpanogos, they pushed their record up to 11-2 with the victory, which was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season.
Uintah's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Timpanogos has been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 11.9 hits per game. It's a different story for Uintah, though, as they've been averaging 9.2 hits. Given Timpanogos' sizable advantage in that area, the Utes will need to find a way to close that gap.
Timpanogos came up short against Uintah in their previous matchup back in April of 2024, falling 16-13. Can the Timberwolves avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
