The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Crisp Academy in their matchups with Grace Christian Academy: they've now lost four in a row.
Despite the defeat, Crisp Academy saw an underclassman step up: Reese Reed scored 27 points along with four steals. Those 27 points set a new season-high mark for him. The team also got some help courtesy of Tucker Ellenberg, who scored 14 points along with five rebounds.
Crisp Academy has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost four of their last five matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-5 record this season. As for Grace Christian Academy, their victory ended a six-game drought on the road and puts them at 2-7.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Crisp Academy won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against St. George's at 3:30 p.m. on January 6th. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Georgia (St. George's is ranked 555th, while Crisp Academy is ranked 575th).
