It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact the Monarch Knights can now relate to. They took a serious blow against the Mustangs on Friday, falling 51-21. Monarch's loss signaled the end of their five-game winning streak.
Several Knights players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Jabari Brady, who picked up 151 receiving yards and a touchdown. Brady was no stranger to the big play, lighting up the secondary with a catch that went for 60 yards. The team also got some help courtesy of Aj Hairston, who threw for 391 yards and a touchdown while picking up 11.8 yards per attempt.
Tiant Wyche continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Mandarin, rushing for 151 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 8.4 yards per carry. Another player making a difference was Deshard Westcott, who rushed for 140 yards and a touchdown.
Monarch's defeat dropped their record down to 11-3. As for Mandarin, they pushed their record up to 11-3 with that win, which was their sixth straight on the road.
Monarch does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Mandarin will be staying on the road on Friday to face off against Columbus at 3:00 p.m. on December 8th. Columbus is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
