Covenant Christian Academy is 9-1 against Central Catholic since April of 2022 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Lions are taking a road trip to challenge the Eagles at 6:00 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Covenant Christian Academy came out on top against Central Lafourche on Tuesday thanks in part to the team's impressive five-run sixth inning. The Lions never let the Trojans get on the board and left with a 10-0 win. The victory was familiar territory for the Lions, who have now won nine matchups in a row.

Nate Loupe and Owen Trosclair were major factors no matter where they played. Throwing, Loupe tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Meanwhile, Trosclair pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. What's more, Loupe posted five strikeouts, the most he's had since March 2nd. At bat, Loupe went 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI, while Trosclair got on base in three of his four plate appearances with two runs and one stolen base. Trosclair is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games he's played.
In other batting news, Peyton Trosclair was excellent, going 2-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double. Kason Perry was another key player, going 1-for-4 with two stolen bases, two RBI, and one run.
Central Catholic came out on top against Jeanerette on Tuesday thanks in part to the team's impressive 12-run first inning. The Eagles were the clear victors by a 16-0 margin over the Tigers. The win continues a trend for the Eagles in their matchups with the Tigers: they've now won four in a row.
Covenant Christian Academy's record is now 18-5. As for Central Catholic, their record now sits at 13-10.
Covenant Christian Academy got the 'W' when the teams last played back in February against Central Catholic by a conclusive 16-8 score. Will the Lions repeat their success, or do the Eagles have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
