Waltrip had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 7 runs) and they went ahead and made it five on Tuesday. They never let the Carnegie Vanguard Rhinos get on the board and left with a 9-0 victory. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 8-1 last Monday.

Waltrip pushed their record up to 8-4 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.3 runs on average over those games. As for Carnegie Vanguard, their loss dropped their record down to 4-2.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Waltrip will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Galena Park at 5:00 p.m. on March 25th. As for Carnegie Vanguard, they will square off against Madison at 7:00 p.m. on March 19th. Carnegie Vanguard's pitching crew has only allowed 3.7 runs per game this season, so Madison's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
