The Northside Rams''s 8-3 record from last season is now well into the rear view mirror after another tough outing. They took a hard 41-27 fall against Dora on Friday. Northside lost against Dora in their previous head to head back in October of 2022, too, but the margin this time around was much wider than the 33-13 score last time.
Devin Guin and Jackson Rhodes, Northside certainly did their best on Friday to try and avoid the loss. Guin picked up 97 receiving yards and a touchdown, while Rhodes rushed for six yards and a touchdown. Guin's longest reception was for an incredible 71 yards.
Dora's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Kesean Pryor, who threw for 126 yards and three touchdowns on only nine passes, and also punched in a touchdown on the ground. The team also got some help courtesy of Jayden Griffin, who gained 178 total yards and two touchdowns.
Dora's defense stepped up as well, laying out the QB three times. Leading the way was Braxton Kitchens and his two sacks.
Northside has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-5 record this season. As for Dora, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 7-2.
Northside will be playing at home against Hamilton at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Hamilton is coming into the match on a three-game losing streak. As for Dora, they will head out on the road to face off against Oak Grove at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
