Mishawaka Marian extended their losing streak  to five  on Friday, dropping them down to 2-6. They were beaten by the Elkhart Lions 59-14. The Knights were already down big by the end of the third quarter and they stayed that way after failing to score in the fourth.
As for Elkhart, their victory was  their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season, which  pushed their record up to 5-3. Those  road  wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 35.1 points over those games.
 It was another big night for  Micah Jarrell, who rushed for 134 yards and a pair of  TDs on only 12 carries, and also threw for 168 yards and two  touchdowns on only 12 passes. Those  134  rushing yards gave  him a new career-high.  Alfonzo Newbern was in the mix  too, providing Elkhart with two scores.
