Baseball Game Preview: Calvary Chapel Academy Eagles vs. St. Edward's Pirates

The Calvary Chapel Academy Eagles will challenge the St. Edward's Pirates at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Calvary Chapel Academy is coming into the match on a five-game losing streak.

Aiden Bishop was huge no matter where he played even without the win. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run while striking out ten over six innings pitched. Furthermore, he didn't allow a single earned run, the first time he has blanked an opponent since back in April of 2024. He was also big at the plate, going 3-for-5 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI. Calvary Chapel Academy is 2-1 when Bishop posts two or more runs, but 0-10 otherwise.

Bishop wasn't the only one making solid contact as four players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Gaven Mosher, who scored a run while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. Riley Miller also deserves some recognition as he scored his first run of the season.

Meanwhile, St. Edward's has relied on a stalwart pitchers averaging 3.33 runs allowed per game, but that average took a hit on Thursday. They lost 15-5 to Master's Academy. The loss was the Pirates' first of the season.

Having lost for the first time this season, St. Edward's fell to 5-1. As for Calvary Chapel Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-11.
