There's no place like home for the Unity Christian Lions, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road on Saturday. They walked away with a 65-54 victory over Pepperell on Tuesday. For Unity Christian, this counts as revenge for the 72-70 defeat Pepperell walked away with the last time they faced one another back in January of 2023.
Pepperell lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Eliot Goggans, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and 12 rebounds. The game was Goggans' third in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Chris Fife, who scored 11 points along with six rebounds.
Unity Christian's win bumped their record up to 5-7. As for Pepperell, their defeat was their fifth straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 5-7.
Unity Christian will be playing at home against Oakwood Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Oakwood Christian is coming into the matchup on a six-game losing streak. As for Pepperell, they will head out on the road to face off against Praise Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Praise Academy is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'.
