Football Recap: Monmouth-Roseville Skates Past Hall with Ease

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Monmouth-Roseville). They took their game on Friday with ease, bagging a 57-14 win over the Hall Red Devils. Fans of the Titans have seen this all before: every one of the games they've played this season has ended in a blowout of 20+ points.

Landon Montroy produced another solid performance rushing for 136 yards and a pair of scores while picking up 8.0 yards per carry. He is also on a roll when it comes to rushing touchdowns, as he's now punched in two or more in each of the last three games he's played. Ke'Shawn Crawford was another key back, rushing for 51 yards and one touchdown.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Monmouth-Roseville was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 492 rushing yards. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their rushing yard total in three consecutive contests.

Monmouth-Roseville's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 7-0. The home wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 49.0 points over those games. As for Hall, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-4.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Monmouth-Roseville will challenge Rockridge at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Rockets' defense has only allowed 14.1 points per game this season, so the Titans' offense will have their work cut out for them. As for Hall, they will square off against Riverdale at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
