Riverside moved up to 264 from 307 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in Lackawanna 2. The Vikings were able to make the jump by beating Western Wayne 34-27.
Kevin Miller put up the best numbers through the air as Honesdale lost to Dunmore. He finished with a total of 17 completions for 182 yards and one touchdown. Miller's favorite target this week was Kyle Carney, who caught two passes for 54 yards.
John Rinaldi was the best wideout in the league this week as the Bucks bested the Hornets. Rinaldi tallied one reception for 63 yards. Austin Seamon helped Dunmore's passing attack out by catching one ball for 16 yards.
Robbie Siclari was the most productive running back in the league this week. In 26 carries, he ran for 259 yards as the Wildcats beat Honesdale. James Berger also contributed to the rushing game with 51 yards on the ground.
5-foot-11 quarterback Miller of the Hornets is the league leader in passing yards this season with 651. He has also thrown six touchdowns. On the ground, Western Wayne's Siclari has rushed for 911 yards which leads the league. The leading receiver in the league this season is Ron Tomasetti. The Mid Valley star has 20 catches for 399 yards.
Siclari of the Al Keller's team is only 89 yards short of surpassing 1,000 rushing yards for the season.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when Lakeland takes on Jack Henzes' team. The Chiefs are in third place, while the Bucks are in first place.
There should be lots of points scored when the Wildcats and the Spartans face off this week. The top two offenses in the league, Western Wayne comes in having scored 189 this season, while Mid Valley has scored 156. The Wildcats scored 27 points last week as they fell to Riverside.
The top two defenses in the league will face off this season when Lakeland takes on Dunmore. Jeff Wasilchak's team has allowed 95 points this season, while the Bucks have given up 34. The Chiefs allowed 13 points last week as they bested Frank Pazzaglia's team.
Dunmore led the league in scoring this week after putting up 41 points on Honesdale. Daiqwon Buckley ran for 106 yards in the win.
