The Southeast Guilford Falcons suffered their biggest loss since December 19, 2023 on Friday. They had to suffer through a rough 89-45 loss at the hands of Grimsley. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Southeast Guilford in their matchups with Grimsley: they've now lost four in a row.
Grimsley was led to victory by Nick Keith and Richard Goods. Keith scored 26 points along with eight assists and five steals, while Goods dropped a triple-double on 25 points, 18 rebounds, and ten blocks. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Keith has scored all season. Henry Trent was another key contributor, scoring 15 points.
Southeast Guilford's loss dropped their record down to 5-12. As for Grimsley, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine contests, which provided a nice bump to their 13-4 record this season.
Southeast Guilford will play host again and welcome Northern Guilford, where tip off is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Northern Guilford presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Southeast Guilford in North Carolina (Northern Guilford is ranked 91st, while Southeast Guilford is ranked 397th). Grimsley's road trip will continue as they head out to face Northwest Guilford at 7:30 p.m. on January 30th.
