After two games on the road, Tucker is heading back home. They will take on The Arabia Mountain Rams at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Tucker has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 224 points over their last five matchups.
Tucker can now show off four landslide victories after their most recent matchup on Thursday. They blew past Lithonia 55-6 on the road. The contest was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 26-6.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Tucker to victory, but perhaps none more so than Jordan Mccoy, who rushed for 95 yards and two touchdowns on only 11 carries. Mccoy hasn't dropped below two rushing touchdowns for four straight games. Jamar Graham was another key contributor, throwing for 201 yards and two touchdowns.
Meanwhile, Arabia Mountain had already won seven in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 18.6 points), and they went ahead and made it eight on Friday. They strolled past M.L. King with points to spare, taking the game 21-6. Given Arabia Mountain's advantage in MaxPreps' Georgia football rankings (they are ranked 137th, while M.L. King is ranked 343rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Arabia Mountain can attribute much of their success to Laron Jones, who rushed for 171 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 8.6 yards per carry. Jordan Miller made the highlight reel by snagging an interception and taking it all the way to the house.
Tucker's victory bumped their record up to 6-3. As for Arabia Mountain, their victory was their sixth straight at home (dating back to last season), bumping their overall record up to 8-1.
Tucker and Arabia Mountain were neck-and-neck when the teams last played back in November of 2022, but Tucker came up empty-handed after a 14-13 defeat. Will Tucker have more luck at home instead of on the road?
