The Hill-McCloy Rams lost against the Ovid-Elsie Marauders back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. Hill-McCloy was dealt a 70-19 defeat at the hands of Ovid-Elsie. Hill-McCloy has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Ovid-Elsie had a senior duo take command as Ava Bates scored 20 points along with eight steals and Evalyn Cole scored 19 points along with five steals. Those 20 points set a new season-high mark for Bates. Another player making a difference was Braeden Tokar, who scored six points along with six assists.
Hill-McCloy's loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 1-2. As for Ovid-Elsie, the win for they keeps them at an undefeated 4-0.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Hill-McCloy will be home for the holidays to greet Durand at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Ovid-Elsie will be home for the holidays to greet New Lothrop at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
