Ross had lost three games on the road, but after bumping their record up to 11-7 on Friday that streak is in the rearview. They beat the Franklin Wildcats by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 2-1. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 2-1 on Wednesday.

As for Franklin, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 10-11 record this season. Having soared to a lofty ten runs in the game before, they couldn't push the score so high this time.

For Franklin's part, Luke Eyink spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered just two earned runs on five hits and racked up eight Ks.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Ross is set to challenge their familiar foe Monroe at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The Rams are on a four-game streak of home wins, the Hornets a six-game streak of away wins, meaning someone's leaving a streak behind. Meanwhile, Franklin will take on rival Oakwood at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday.
