The Plaza Heights Christian Academy Lions will square off against the Kingsville Tigers at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Kingsville will challenge a team with plenty of momentum: Plaza Heights Christian Academy extended their winning streak to four on Monday. The Lions blew past Lutheran 16-1.
Remi Schieber was incredible, going 2-for-4 with five RBI, one stolen base, and one run. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in March of 2024. Scottie Cutbirth Jr. was another key player, going 2-for-3 with three RBI, one run, and one double.
Plaza Heights Christian Academy always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .621. They are a perfect 5-0 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.
Meanwhile, while Kingsville put up plenty of runs on Tuesday, the same can't be said for Drexel. The Tigers were the clear victors by an 11-0 margin over the Bobcats. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Tigers as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.
The team relied heavily on Aaron McClellan, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. Another player making a difference was Chase Stout, who got on base in all four of his plate appearances with four stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI.
Plaza Heights Christian Academy pushed their record up to 7-4 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 4.0 runs on average over those games. As for Kingsville, their win bumped their record up to 6-3.
Both Plaza Heights Christian Academy and Kingsville just can't seem to miss. The Lions have been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 9.1 hits per game. However, it's not like Kingsville struggles in that department as they've been averaging only 2.7 hits. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
