The Tate Aggies will head out on the road to challenge the Sayre Spartans at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Tate is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.6 runs per game this season.

Having struggled with three defeats in a row, Tate turned things around against Navarre on Friday. They walked away with a 5-1 win over the Raiders.

Tate got a great performance from Keelan Beasley as he didn't allow a single earned run over six innings pitched. Beasley has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in three consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Taite Davis was incredible, going 2-for-4 with one home run and two RBI. That home run marked the first that he launched this season. Cal Foxworth was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-3.

Meanwhile, Sayre came tearing into Monday's match with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 6 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They were the clear victors by a 13-3 margin over the Commanders. The Spartans might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven contests by seven runs or more this season.

Lucas Saatman looked comfortable as he pitched three innings while giving up just one earned run off four hits. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in strikeouts (three).

On the hitting side, Jaxon Herrera was a standout: he scored three runs and stole a base while going 2-for-2. Another player making a difference was Charlie Slabaugh, who scored a run while going 3-for-3.

Sayre always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .645. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Washington County only posted an OBP of .458.

Sayre pushed their record up to 14-1 with the victory, which was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season. As for Tate, their record now sits at 13-9.
