The Lake Washington Kangaroos will face off against the Issaquah Eagles at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (Lake Washington 3.4, Issaquah 2.8) so any runs scored will be well earned.

The team relied heavily on Aidan Mehlberg, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with three RBI, two runs, and one triple. He is also on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last four games he's played. Another player making a difference was Kane Nishikawa, who scored two runs and stole a base while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.
Eastlake typically has all the answers at home, but on Wednesday Issaquah proved too difficult a challenge. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Wolves, sneaking past 5-3.
Tyler Miller spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered three earned runs on seven hits. He also tossed a walk, which is notable because Issaquah is 4-1 when he allows at most one walk, but 3-4 otherwise.
On the hitting side, Issaquah saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Seika Saito, who scored two runs while going 2-for-4. Those two runs gave Saito a new career-high. Charlie Lydum was another, going 3-for-4 with one RBI.
Issaquah was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .406. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.
Lake Washington's win bumped their record up to 8-5. As for Issaquah, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 7-5 record this season.
Lake Washington's speedy runners might be the difference in Friday's game. The Kangaroos have been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 3.1 stolen bases per game. It's a different story for Issaquah, though, as they've been averaging only 1.3 stolen bases. Will they be able to secure the bases, or will Lake Washington continue to outrun the ball?
Lake Washington couldn't quite finish off Issaquah when the teams last played back in March and fell 2-0. Will the Kangaroos have more luck at home instead of on the road? Check MaxPreps after the match for a full breakdown of the game, commentary, and other baseball content.
