5A Region II District 11 recap October 1, 2013
Adding to the longest winning streak in 5A Region II District 11 this week, Sachse beat North Garland 35-0. The win marks fifth in a row for the the Mustangs.
Naaman Forest scaled the state rankings by moving to 256 from 305 this week, the biggest jump in the league. The Rangers were able to move up by defeating South Garland 30-7.
Kent Myers threw for 288 yards and 3 touchdowns.
Myers put up the best numbers in passing as Sachse beat the Raiders. Myers' favorite target this week was Darion Smalls, who caught 4 passes for 73 yards.
The leading receiver in the league this season is Tyler Hogan. The Rowlett star has 32 catches for 404 yards.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when Mark Behrens' team takes on Lakeview Centennial. The Mustangs are in first place, while the Patriots are in third place.
Sachse took down North Garland 35-0 last week, the largest margin of any game. Myers ran for 46 yards during the win.
