Culbertson is 2-8 against Plentywood since February of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Saturday. The Culbertson Cowboys will head out on the road to face off against the Plentywood Wildcats at 5:30 p.m. Both teams come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Culbertson's three-game losing streak came to an end on Thursday. Everything went their way against Lambert/Richey as Culbertson made off with a 57-36 win. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory Culbertson has posted yet this season.
Culbertson can attribute much of their success to Donte Eagle Boy, who scored 26 points along with five steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Eagle Boy has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Gavin Deen, who scored six points along with four steals and three blocks.
Meanwhile, even though Froid/Medicine Lake scored an imposing 55 points on Friday, Plentywood still came out on top. Plentywood secured a 61-55 W over Froid/Medicine Lake.
Culbertson's victory bumped their record up to 3-6. As for Plentywood, their victory bumped their record up to 9-1.
Culbertson was taken down by Plentywood 65-23 in their previous matchup back in December of 2023. The matchup was all but decided by halftime, at which point Culbertson was down 36-16.
