Sailor Presley made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out 16 over six innings pitched. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than two hits any time she's pitched this season. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going 3-for-4 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in April of 2024.

In other batting news, Ava Hamilton was a standout: she scored two runs and stole a base while going 3-for-5. The dominant performance gave her a new career-high in hits. Mylah Dryman was another key player, scoring a run while going 2-for-4.
Roane County was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .457. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Midway only posted a batting average of .000.
Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Polk County duked it out with Red Bank on Friday. Everything went Polk County's way against Red Bank as Polk County made off with a 9-0 victory. With that win, the Wildcats brought their scoring average up to 6.2 runs per game.
Mallie Evans was a major factor no matter where she played. She didn't allow a single earned run while striking out 11 over five innings pitched. She also put up three hits, which were her first of the season. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Kendall Coons, who scored two runs while going 3-for-3. Another player making a difference was Zoie Hatcher, who scored a run while going 2-for-3.
The victory snapped Polk County's losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 2-4 record. As for Roane County, their record is now 3-0.
Polk County's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Roane County has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .442. It's a different story for Polk County, though, as they've only averaged .358. Will they be able to contain Roane County's hitters?
