If the Lumen Christi Archangels were feeling good off their 60-26 takedown of the Newhalen Malamutes on Monday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Lumen Christi suffered a rough 75-49 defeat at the hands of the T-Jacks and Rookies on Tuesday. While losing is never fun, Lumen Christi can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Alaska basketball rankings (they are ranked 85th, while the T-Jacks and Rookies are ranked 19th).
Jager Brandell was his usual excellent self, scoring 32 points for King Cove. Brandell hasn't dropped below 21 points for four straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Brennen Larsen, who scored 17 points.
Lumen Christi's defeat dropped their record down to 3-14. As for King Cove, the victory for they keeps them at an undefeated 10-0.
