If the Peck Pirates were feeling good off their 63-40 takedown of the Carsonville-Port Sanilac Tigers last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Peck was dealt a 62-34 loss at the hands of the Cardinals on Monday. Peck has struggled against the Cardinals recently, as their matchup on Monday was their ninth consecutive lost matchup.
Cal Heiden and Thomas West certainly did their best on Monday to avoid the loss. Heiden scored 19 points along with seven rebounds, while West scored four points along with five rebounds and five steals. Heiden is trending in the right direction, as he's improved his point production for four games straight.
Peck's defeat dropped their record down to 7-6. As for Dryden, their victory bumped their record up to 11-3.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Peck won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against the Tigers at 7:30 p.m. on January 30th. Armada is coming into the game on a four-game losing streak. As for Dryden, they will be playing in front of their home fans against the Yellowjackets at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Memphis will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Michigan Rankings (they are ranked 724th, while the Cardinals are ranked 263rd).
