If The Fairfield Indians were feeling good off their 49-7 takedown of the Colerain Cardinals last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Fairfield ended up on the wrong side of a tough 41-15 walloping at the hands of Milford on Friday. While losing is never fun, Fairfield can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio football rankings (they are ranked 164th, while Milford is ranked tenth).
Leading Milford to victory were Ashton Warther and Nathan Webster. Warther rushed for 111 yards and two touchdowns on only six carries, while Webster rushed for 215 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 9.0 yards per carry. Warther was no stranger to the big play, taking off on a dash that went for 69 yards.
Fairfield's loss dropped their record down to 3-8. As for Milford, the win for they keeps them at an undefeated 11-0.
Fairfield does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Milford will face off against Mason at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
