Capac and Memphis are an even 3-3 against one another since May of 2019, but likely not for long. The Chiefs will be playing at home against the Yellowjackets at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Capac is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They came out on top against Genesee Christian on Tuesday by a score of 16-1 (the very same score they lost by in their prior game). The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Chiefs considering their one-run performance the contest before.
A Howard made a splash no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out seven batters over four innings while giving up just one earned run off six hits. Howard was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with two RBI.

Capac always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .636. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Meanwhile, while Memphis put up some runs on Tuesday, the same can't be said for Bad Axe. The Yellowjackets came out on top against the Hatchets by a score of 4-0.
The team relied heavily on Keegan Walsh, who went 1-for-3 with five stolen bases and two runs. He has become a key player for Memphis: the team is undefeated when he posts at least two runs, but 0-4 otherwise.
Capac's win was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 9-4. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.8 runs on average over those games. As for Memphis, their win bumped their record up to 8-4.
