JOHNSTOWN, Pa. -
Richland (Johnstown, Pa.) put up 15 points in the fourth quarter in Saturday's game to seal their 27-0 victory over
Forest Hills (Sidman, Pa.).
The Rams were up 12-0 at the half after taking the lead on a touchdown run by
Matt Shaffer in the second quarter.
The loss snapped the Rangers' 7-game winning streak.
Shaffer was the top performer for Richland. The junior quarterback threw three touchdowns and ran for one touchdown. He has now scored 12 touchdowns on the season.
RHS went into the matchup giving up only 10.0 points per game. The zero points that Forest Hills ended with were well below its average of 22.3 coming into the game.
The Johnstown school also won the meeting between the two teams last season, 35-16.
The loss comes after Forest Hills defeated Ligonier Valley 26-12 last week.
