The Trinity Christian Lions will square off against the Whitewater Wildcats at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.

Despite the defeat, Trinity Christian had strong showings from Peyton Echols, who picked up 148 receiving yards and one score, and Ashton Clare, who threw for 230 yards and one touchdown while completing 78.6% of his passes.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Whitewater, who bounced back after a loss on the road on September 5th. They won a matchup that couldn't have been any closer, slipping by Upson-Lee 37-36. The high-flying offensive performance was a huge turnaround for the Wildcats considering their seven-point performance the game before.
Whitewater's win came from a few key players Trinity Christian will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Case Roberts, who rushed for 117 yards on only 12 carries, and also threw for 23 yards and one TD. His longest rush was for an impressive 52 yards, which helps to explain his lofty yards per carry total.
Whitewater was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 332 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've managed all season.
Whitewater didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Bryce Alexander and Kj Deriso.
The victory got Whitewater back to even at 2-2. As for Trinity Christian, they now have a losing record of 2-3.
