Lehigh has been on the road for four straight, but on Thursday they'll finally head home. They will take on The Riverdale Raiders at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, both teams will really light up the scoreboard.
Last Friday, Lehigh made easy work of North Fort Myers and carried off a 39-14 win. The victory was just what Lehigh needed coming off of a 28-0 defeat in their prior contest.
Dorian Mallary was a one-man wrecking crew for Lehigh as he threw for 185 yards and five touchdowns.
Meanwhile, Riverdale never let their opponents score two weeks ago. They blew past Ida Baker 34-0 at home. The victory was just what Riverdale needed coming off of a 62-0 loss in their prior match.
Riverdale relied on the efforts of Lovensky Blanchard, who rushed for 138 yards and a touchdown, and Cole Hayes, who rushed for 119 yards and two touchdowns. Orville Jackson got in on the action as well, converting a pick into a touchdown.
Lehigh's win bumped their record up to 2-6. As for Riverdale, their win ended a seven-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 2-6.
Everything came up roses for Lehigh against Riverdale in their previous meeting back in October of 2022 as the squad secured a 35-0 win. Will Lehigh repeat their success, or does Riverdale have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
