Laguna Creek is headed out to face Davis Sr. after opening their season at home and giving their fans just what they were looking for. Laguna Creek blew past Liberty Ranch 12-4 on Wednesday.
Claire Hart spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned (and two unearned) runs on eight hits.

At the plate, Laguna Creek let Kate Saxton and Sophia Rials run wild. Saxton scored three runs and stole a base while going 3-for-4, while Rials went a perfect 4-for-4 with four RBI, two runs, and one double. The dominant performance gave Rials a new career-high in hits. Mia Gonzalez was another key player, scoring two runs while getting on base in three of her five plate appearances.
Laguna Creek always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .514. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Liberty Ranch only posted an OBP of .355.
Meanwhile, Davis Sr. hadn't done well against Elk Grove recently (they were 0-9 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Monday. Davis Sr. had just enough and edged out Elk Grove 8-7. The win was nothing new for the Blue Devils as they're now sitting on three straight.
Kaytlin LeBar-Triepke and Molly Roseen made a splash no matter where they played. On the mound, LeBar-Triepke pitched seven innings while giving up five earned runs off eight hits. Meanwhile, Roseen pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two walks in eight consecutive appearances. At bat, LeBar-Triepke went 2-for-4 with one triple, one run, and one RBI, while Roseen scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-5.
They weren't the only ones making solid contact as six players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Addison Sinclair, who scored a run while going 1-for-3. She also hit a double, marking her first of the season.
Laguna Creek came up short against Davis Sr. in their previous matchup back in March of 2024, falling 4-1. Can Laguna Creek avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
