Sandia put another one in the bag on Thursday to keep their perfect season alive. They wrapped up 2024 with a 57-39 victory over the Los Lunas Tigers. The Matadors have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Tigers, too.

Sandia pushed their record up to 9-0 with the win, which was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Los Lunas, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 6-3.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Sandia won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Centennial at 12:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Los Lunas, they will also get right back to it: they'll face off against Organ Mountain at 2:00 p.m. on Friday.
