The Tioga Bulldogs won the last time they faced the Era Hornets, and things went their way on Friday too. Tioga walked away with a 45-36 win over Era.
Tioga's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Jake David led the charge by scoring 19 points. Those 19 points set a new season-high mark for him. The team also got some help courtesy of Rocky Urich, who scored ten points.
Tioga's win bumped their record up to 5-9. As for Era, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-6.
Tioga will be playing in front of their home fans against Chico at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Chico has now lost 12 straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since November 17. As for Era, they will head out on the road to face off against Alvord at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Alvord knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past five matchups -- so hopefully Era likes a good challenge.
