Cairo has gone a perfect 4-0 against Monroe recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Cairo Syrupmakers will host the Monroe Golden Tornadoes at 7:30 p.m. Cairo is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 4.4 goals per game this season.

Cairo's defense heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Tuesday. They were the clear victor by a 10-0 margin over Westover. Given the Syrupmakers' advantage in MaxPreps' Georgia soccer rankings (they are ranked 51st, while the Patriots are ranked 318th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Cairo's offense was hitting Westover from everywhere, as seven different players booted in a goal. Julio Matias led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for two goals all by himself.

Meanwhile, Monroe was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost 11-1 to Dougherty. The Golden Tornadoes were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 5-1.

Cairo pushed their record up to 4-1 with the win, which was their third straight at home. Those victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up zero goals over those three games. As for Monroe, their loss dropped their record down to 0-3.

Everything went Cairo's way against Monroe when the teams last played back in February of 2024, as Cairo made off with a 10-0 victory. Will Cairo repeat their success, or does Monroe have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
