The Fort Bend Christian Academy Eagles lost against the Kelly Catholic Bulldogs back in December of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. Fort Bend Christian Academy fell to Kelly Catholic 36-32. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Fort Bend Christian Academy in their matchups with Kelly Catholic: they've now lost four in a row.
Kelly Catholic's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Madisyn Cotten, who scored nine points along with 13 rebounds. Cotten is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as she's now pulled down eight or more in the last six games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Sydney Doctor, who scored 13 points along with three steals.
Fort Bend Christian Academy has been struggling recently, as they've lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-13 record this season. As for Kelly Catholic, their victory ended a six-game drought on the road and puts them at 7-16.
Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing St. John XXIII the next time they take the court. Fort Bend Christian Academy will head out to face St. John XXIII at 6:00 p.m. on Friday, while Kelly Catholic will host them at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
