Valor Christian's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Quinn Vansickle led the charge by scoring 16 points along with five assists and three steals. The match was Vansickle's eighth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Rylie Beers, who scored 12 points along with five rebounds and three steals.
The win makes it two in a row for Valor Christian and bumps their season record up to 6-2. As for Rangeview, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-6.
Valor Christian will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on George Washington at 7:00 p.m. on January 5, 2024. George Washington will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Colorado Rankings (they are ranked 237th, while Valor Christian is ranked ninth). As for Rangeview, they will head out on the road to face off against Smoky Hill at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
