Selma is 9-1 against Kingsburg since February of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Selma Bears will venture away from home to challenge the Kingsburg Vikings at 6:00 p.m. Selma's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for five straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

Selma is likely headed into the game with a focus on the second half, which is when things went downhill against Sanger on Tuesday. Selma fell just short of Sanger by a score of 2-1. While losing is never fun, the Bears can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 490th, while the Apaches are ranked 139th).

Meanwhile, Kingsburg didn't have quite enough to beat Sanger West on Tuesday and fell 2-1.

Kingsburg has been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-11 record this season. As for Selma, they now have a losing record at 4-5-2.

Everything went Selma's way against Kingsburg in their previous meeting back in February of 2024, as Selma made off with a 5-0 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Selma since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
